This project is a trophy that was made for a local car buff Bruce Wheeler, whom is a member if a rare car club and he makes different items for fellow members. This particular item was for a club event and was created by waterjet cutting of the 1/4″ thick center section then cutting two 1/8″ thick brass ovals to match the contour of the oval and base section (minus 1/8″) in the center section, one for each side. Then cutting two more 1/8″ aluminum pieces to match the brass pieces (minus 1/8″). After polishing everything to a high shine roll pins were inserted to hold the 5 layers together then the assembly was attached to a block of stained and finished wood.
